‘I MARRIED MY BEST FRIEND’ JOMO GECAGA CELEBRATES HIS WEDDING TO LOLA HANNIGAN

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s nephew, Jomo Gecaga has celebrated his recent marriage to TV presenter Lola Hannigan with a touching social media post, reflecting on their union a month after their intimate December 2025 wedding.

Accompanying a beautifully curated wedding video, Gecaga wrote, “On this day, I married my best friend, my safe place, my answered prayer. Lola, loving you is the greatest decision of my life. Forever begins here. 💕💕💕” The post has since garnered warm wishes from family, friends, and public figures.

Among the well-wishers wasLola’s mother, who commented: “Congratulations to you both! May God bless your marriage with harmony, good health and happiness. May He guide your hearts to love and care for each other always. 🙏🏽”

The couple’s private wedding was attended by a select group of close family members and friends, including notable figures such as former President Uhuru Kenyatta—Jomo’s uncle, former First Ladies Margaret Kenyatta and Mama Ngina Kenyatta, as well as Keroche Breweries heiress Anerlisa Muigai and her husband.

The couple continues to build their life together, recently welcoming their third child. Jomo, who is also a father to twins with television presenter Anne Kiguta and has another child with radio personality Valentine Njoroge, has embraced his role within a loving, blended family.
