RUTO PLEDGES SH2 MILLION SUPPORT FOR BOXERS MAJEMBE AND MBAVU

President William Ruto has announced a financial support for the upcoming boxing match between Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer, scheduled for April 4, 2026, in Nairobi.

He has pledged Ksh1 million each to the two fighters as financial support ahead of their highly anticipated clash. This commitment totals Ksh2 million in direct athlete support, aimed at aiding their preparation for the event.

The President has also committed to covering the cost of admission for 2,000 spectators. This initiative ensures that a large and passionate crowd of fans will be able to attend the historic showdown free of charge.

Majembe, famed for his technical finesse, sharp footwork, and calculated approach in the ring, will take on Mbavu Destroyer, whose nickname Weka Mawe captures his raw power and aggressive, relentless fighting style.
