‘STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM’ JEMUTAI FIRES BACK AT EX-PARTNER PROFESSOR HAMO
Comedian Jemutai has fired back at her former partner, Professor Hamo, after he claimed that his problems began when he cheated on his wife with her.
Hamo recently made headlines when he stated that cheating on a spouse is “the shortest way to poverty,” claiming that unfaithfulness can destroy businesses, finances, and personal life.
But Jemutai is having none of it. In a series of videos, she rejected his claims insisting that his career struggles have nothing to do with their past relationship. Instead, she pointed to a lack of consistency in his work.
She acknowledged that Hamo is talented but argued that he has remained stuck on the fame he gained from the Churchill Show an era she says ended in 2020 while the rest of the industry has moved forward.
Jemutai also addressed the viral moment that brought them both into the public spotlight, reminding him that it was about their two children, not their relationship.
“Stop playing the victim,” she said. “The reason we went viral is because of the children. It was not about us. God is a gracious God, there is no way He will punish you for five years. You are eight years older than me. The reason you are not making money is not because you cheated with Jemutai. Even you know I didn’t eat your money.”
She went on to challenge his work ethic in the digital age, “You are not making money because you are still stuck on the fame from Churchill Show, which ended in 2020. How many stand-up comedy specials have you uploaded since 2020? None. We moved from analogue to digital. How many times do you post comedy content? Are you consistent? Are brands seeing you? The world has changed.“
