Camp Mulla Reunites for One Night Only at Kulture After 13-Year Hiatus
In a historic moment for Kenyan music, iconic hip-hop group Camp Mulla has officially reunited for a one-night-only performance at the much-anticipated Kulture Experience.
The show is scheduled to bring together some of Kenya’s biggest musical talents for a celebration of the country’s vibrant entertainment scene. The group, which soundtracked an era with infectious hooks and youthful swagger, announced the reunion via their social media pages. “Before going viral existed… They had already created a movement. Camp Mulla soundtracked an era with infectious hooks, youthful swagger and songs that instantly take us back. Experience it again at KULTURE,” the post read.
Camp Mulla will be joined by an impressive lineup of Kenyan artists, including Wyre, Avril, Harry Kimani, Collo, Didge, Madtraxx, Nikki, Kidum, Eric Wainaina, DJ Stylz, DJ John Rabar, DJ Pinye, host Shaffie Weru and Sanaipei Tande.

The reunion marks a dramatic turn for fans who have long waited to see the group perform together again. In May 2013, Camp Mulla’s record label, Sub Sahara Entertainment, issued a press release confirming that the group was breaking up and going their separate ways.
At the time, the label stated, “It is true that Miss Karun is no longer with the group; she has left the group to prepare to join university in the USA in August. She’s also working on solo projects. Another of the group’s former members, Thee MC Africa, previously known as The Taio Tripper, is also pursuing a solo career. Both Miss Karun and Thee MC Africa are wished all the best in their pursuits.“
Now, over a decade later, the group has set aside their individual paths to deliver what promises to be a nostalgic and unforgettable performance for fans who grew up on hits like “Party Done,” “Fresh All Day,” and “Love Tune.”
