Family Remembers Edward Kwach One Year After His Passing
One year after the untimely death of radio personality Edward Kwach, his family has come together to remember and celebrate the man they still dearly miss.
Kwach, a popular host at Standard Media Group’s Spice FM, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 52 following a short illness later confirmed as meningitis.
He had been admitted to Coptic Hospital in critical condition, with well-wishers earlier urged to donate blood to help stabilise his condition. In a tribute marking the one-year anniversary, Edward’s brother, Edgar Kwach said, “My brother, we lost you a year ago to the day. It seems like it was yesterday. Everything has changed, nothing is the same, but the constant is that we all miss you. Mum & dad, your brothers, nieces & nephews, family & friends, all miss you. Keep resting my brother, watch over us, and we shall meet again. Godspeed!“

The family gathered to remember and celebrate Edward’s life, sharing laughter and tears. In a lighter moment, they congratulated him on his football team winning the Premier League. “We remembered and celebrated Edward. We laughed, we cried, we miss him,” the family said in a collective tribute.
“We shall meet again,” Edgar added. Until then, Kwach is remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and voice of a generation.
