‘Sioni Nikirudi’ Jalang’o Dismisses Calls to Return to Radio if Senate Bid Fails
Media personality and politician Jalang’o has fired back at critics warning him to prepare for a return to radio should he fail to secure his Senate seat.
In a recent interview, the former radio host addressed the naysayers who are already predicting his political downfall, making it clear that a return to the airwaves is not part of his plan.
“Those people saying I will go back to radio, where did I wrong them?,” Jalang’o stated. “I have never lost Alex Mwakideu’s number… If He [God] decides I go back to radio it is one of the most well-paying jobs. Once you build your talent, radio pays you well. But I don’t see myself returning, we cannot go back. This work of ours is in God’s hands.”
Jalang’o also said that his career trajectory including his political journey is divinely guided. He noted that he has never been without an opportunity for long, recalling that when he was previously fired from a radio station, he was jobless for only two hours before receiving a call with a new offer. “Leadership is God’s business, even where I am it is God,” he added.
When asked about a public job offer from Milele FM, the politician reflected on his past employment experience with the station. “Leave those people. Even when I was working for them they struggled to pay me,” he stated.
