UNKUT THE CYPHER SEASON 3 TO HONOR WOMEN IN HIP HOP

Being a woman in any field has its challenges but being a woman in Hip Hop is even more difficult. Hip Hop is a male dominated field that often sexualizes, demeans and even shuns women. On the June 4,   UnKut the Cypher celebrates all the women who strive to thrive in this field hence the name Qings.

UnKut the Cypher is back after two successful seasons, the quarterly event takes place every first Sunday of the month.

Season 3 is set to happen at Turning Tables, Kilimani Plaza.

The lineup features a balance of the old and new school, promising a total of 16 rappers on the two main sets and 10 rappers on the open mic session.

The originator of UnKut, radio presenter and writer Miss Ruby will be hosting the event.

Beats were created by Vic J, SaakBeats and AyTee, the last two working under South African production house, Miz Masterz International.
