JOSE CHAMELEONE REUNITES WITH SON ABBA MARCUS AFTER PUBLIC FALLOUT
Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone, who is currently undergoing treatment for acute pancreatitis in the United States, has reunited with his son, Abba Marcus, after a public fallout.
The artist specifically acknowledged his son’s presence at his hospital bedside, saying, “Thank you to all of you who are taking time to wish me a quick and healthy recovery. The Doctors are doing their best and I am also trying as best as I can. @fredzink1 @weasel_manizo @abbamarcus @julietzawedde thank you again for encouraging me. Love you all ❤️#NeverGiveUp”
In December 2024, Abba spoke for the first time, shedding light on the serious health condition of his father and calling for support to help him overcome his struggles. “I’m finally choosing to break silence about a very, very serious issue,” Abba stated. “My father suffers from acute pancreatitis, a condition caused in most cases by repeated alcohol use. To put things plain and simple, my father struggles with alcohol addiction, something he’s been dealing with for quite a while now.”
Abba described the toll the condition has taken on Chameleone, resulting in significant weight loss. He also addressed frustration at misinformation circulating online, particularly criticisms directed at his mother. “It disheartens me to see the internet blame my mother for his health issues. That is completely false. Throughout my life, I’ve seen my father struggle to control alcohol use.”
He further revealed the alarming diagnosis provided by doctors, “If my father continues this pattern, the doctors say he has two years left. This breaks me because this is my father, and I know him better than anyone. I am very, very infuriated and angry with my father, because I feel like he’s making selfish decisions. I have four siblings, and my father still needs to be alive to take care of my siblings.”
The young man also criticised the environment surrounding Chameleone, saying he lacks genuine care from some of his close friends and family. “The people around my father do not have his best interests at heart. If they were true friends, he wouldn’t be in this circumstance. They only care about the monetary value he brings to them.”
