‘I DIDN’T WANT TO BE BITTER’ PHILIP KARANJA OPENS UP ABOUT DIVORCE FROM KATE ACTRESS

By  |

TV producer and director Philip Karanja, has opened up about his divorce from actress Catherine Kamau, popularly known as Kate Actress

According to Karanja, he didn’t want to blame his wife and opted to go for therapy. “The first thing that happens when you’re getting divorced, as all humans do, is blame your partner,” Karanja stated. “But if you allow yourself to go through the right way, therapy, having the right conversations, crying, you quickly shift from blaming your partner and start calling out your own shortcomings. You put yourself on the seat and ask, ‘What did I do wrong?’”

Karanja said that therapy helped him confront and address his own faults. “I talked to men and women who had been divorced for years, but they were still bitter and angry,” he revealed. “I remember telling myself, five years from now, I don’t want to be angry and bitter at my ex-wife. I decided not to channel my anger and blame outward but to focus on my own actions and now rebuilding myself.
