ACTRESS GLORIA MORAA MARKS ONE YEAR SINCE DAUGHTER’S PASSING

A year after the tragic loss of her daughter, Marie Achieng, actress Gloria Moraa has shared an emotional tribute, reflecting on the pain of life without her firstborn.

In a social media post, Moraa said, “Today marks exactly one year since you left the world and literally left with my heart… my little girl, jameni. How do I just live like it is ok? Every day is a different kind of pain. Mungu wangu 😭😭😭 My Achieng nono, ei Marie. I don’t know how to say rest in peace. Sijui kabisa. Maskini mtoto wangu, hapa nayo God aliniweza. One year down, forever to go.”

Earlier this year, Moraa also commemorated what would have been Marie’s 20th birthday with a touching tribute and a special memorial necklace. The delicate piece, shaped like a heart with angel wings, bears Marie’s engraved name. Sharing the sentiment behind it, she posted: “Happy 20th birthday in heaven, my child. Life is totally meaningless. I am completely shattered… heaven, I need a hug.”

Achieng passed away in July 2024, a loss that affected Moraa and those close to her. Fellow actress and close friend Sandra Dacha shared the heartbreaking news at the time, stating: “It is with profound sadness that I announce to you the passing of Gloria Anazidi Kuiva Moraa’s daughter. Your prayers are what she needs right now. Rest in peace, Marie.”
