BONIFACE MWANGI ENDORSES OCTOPIZZO FOR KIBRA MP

Activist Boniface Mwangi has thrown his weight behind rapper Octopizzo, urging the residents of Kibra to elect him as their next Member of Parliament. 

“@OCTOPIZZO is your best choice for Member of Parliament!” Mwangi stated in a social media post. “He has served Kibera well as a private citizen, and now it’s time you gave him a mandate to represent you in Parliament! Octo ni msee wa nguvu!”

The endorsement comes as Octopizzo, whose real name is Henry Ohanga, directly addresses public skepticism about celebrities transitioning into politics. In a recent social media post, “I completely understand your concern, it’s a valid one,” Octopizzo wrote. “But this isn’t a celebrity contest; it’s about service, integrity, and real change.”

Adding, “I would probably still be vying even if I wasn’t an artist. Before putting me in the same box, I encourage you to look deeper, at my academic background, my community engagement since 2009, and my consistent advocacy for the people of Kibra.”

The rapper has pledged to bring what he terms “poverty-conscious leadership and integrity-driven service” to Kibra constituency.
