SONKO PROMISES TO HELP SAMMY KIOKO SECURE SH19M PAYMENT FROM MACHAKOS COUNTY

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has pledged to intervene in the payment dispute between comedian and entrepreneur Sammy Kioko and the Machakos County Government.

The pledge follows Kioko’s emotional public appeal regarding an unpaid KSh19 million invoice for a completed embroidery project, a delay that has crippled his business and delayed his sister’s medical treatment.

The issue came to light during a live interview on Oga Obinna’s show, where Kioko detailed the financial toll of the two-year non-payment. The prolonged delay forced him to close his business, unable to pay rent and employee salaries.

Touched by Kioko’s plight, host Obinna immediately reached out to Sonko who committed to engaging with the Machakos County Governor to help secure the long-overdue payment.

A fundraising drive initiated by the presenter on his live show has successfully raised over KSh221,000 to support the comedian’s sister’s immediate medical needs.
