Mulamwah Shares Why Kenyan Celebrities Rarely Help Fans Financially

Kenyan comedian and content creator Mulamwah has explained why celebrities rarely provide financial assistance to their followers, even when approached with seemingly genuine pleas for help.

In a statement, Mulamwah outlined experiences that shape how celebrities respond to such requests. He noted that fans sometimes forget that celebrities are human too. “Sometimes celebs have their own struggles too mental, financial,” he explained.

According to the comedian, the manner in which many fans make their requests is problematic. “Some fans have really bad approach methods,” he stated, suggesting that entitlement, disrespect, or lack of tact often turn celebrities away before any conversation can begin.

Mulamwah also warned that some fans are not genuine. “Some fans are con artists pretending to be in situations that they are not,” he said. This has made many celebrities cautious, as they have been burned in the past by individuals fabricating emergencies to exploit their generosity.

His echoed sentiments previously expressed by rapper Khaligraph Jones. “Some fans have never liked your content, shared anything you posted, or commented on your work,Mulamwah observed. “If you post Fally Ipupa, DM Fally Ipupa. If you post Mulamwah, DM Mulamwah. Reap where you sow.

He revealed a more painful reality: many celebrities carry trauma from social harassment. “Some celebs have trauma of social harassment from people so they view everyone as an enemy and just prefer their space. There is nothing worse than helping someone who has insulted you online without you even knowing he said.
