Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamea Morton brought a taste of East Africa to Georgia as she celebrated her Kenyan husband Gerald Mwangi’s birthday with a vibrant Kenyan-themed party, as seen on last night’s episode of the hit Bravo series.

The lavish celebration transformed the couple’s home into a tribute to Mwangi’s Kenyan heritage, with decorations featuring Kenyan flags prominently displayed throughout the venue. The couple coordinated in matching yellow Ankara ensembles, complementing each other perfectly as they celebrated the special occasion. Video clips from the event also showed a three-tier cake designed to match the theme.

In an emotional tribute to her husband, Morton shared her inspiration behind the celebration. “Last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we celebrated my husband Gerald’s birthday 🎉. I tried to bring a little bit of home (Kenya) to Atlanta. 🇰🇪 Love you babe 😘,” she said.

Mwangi, a Kenyan-born businessman, and Shamea Morton exchanged vows in a lavish wedding ceremony on July 22, 2017, in Nyeri, Kenya. The couple has since become a fan-favorite pair on the show, with their cross-cultural relationship often celebrated by viewers.

Fans of the show took to social media to praise Morton’s effort to honour her husband’s roots, with many calling the themed party “heartwarming” and “authentic.”
