Starehe Boys’ Centre has issued a statement commending its students, the “Men of Starehe,” for maintaining exceptional calm and discipline during a period of unrest that has disrupted learning in many schools across the country.

In a statement released by the school’s Director, Okono, the institution confirmed that students will proceed on their mid-term break effective Friday, June 19, 2026, and are expected to return on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

While many educational institutions have grappled with instability, Starehe Boys’ Centre took the opportunity to publicly recognise its students for their calmness. “Amidst the unrest that has disrupted learning in many schools, the Men of Starehe have remained steadfast as they continue to enjoy the unique freedoms and character formation that the mission of Starehe gives priority,” read the statement from Okono.

The school leadership extended warm wishes to the students for a restful break with friends and family, “We wish them sound rest and a joyful time with friends and family and look forward to receiving them back for the second half of this term. Safe travels, gentlemen!” the Director added.

The school looks forward to welcoming back all students on Wednesday, June 24, to commence preparations for the Founders Memorial, a key event in the school’s calendar that celebrates its rich heritage and founding principles.
