Actress Foi Wambui Ties the Knot in Stunning Traditional Ceremony

Actress Foi Wambui tied the knot in traditional wedding (Ruracio) over the weekend.

The much-anticipated event, which took place on July 11, 2026, was a beautiful fusion of culture and elegance. Wambui, known for her captivating on-screen performances, took center stage in real life, sharing glimpses of her big day with her followers. “Wedding mornings. Emotions are high. Laughters are louder. Tears, always ready to flow. All because of Love ❤️.”

The ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking, with every detail meticulously curated to honour tradition while celebrating the couple’s unique love story. Wambui’s bridal look, a stunning creation by Stitchworth Fabrics and Designs, was a showstopper. The intricate beadwork, flowing fabric, and deliberate design choices left guests in awe.

“Some people need a script. @foi_wambui_ simply needed an entrance. There is beautiful, there is bridal, and then there’s the kind of beauty that makes tradition feel new again. The dress carried the room. Every bead, every fold, every intentional choice seemed to whisper, ‘this is the day we’ve been waiting for.’ Foi gave her ruracio a face. We’d ask the ancestors what they thought… but judging by how everything aligned, they probably approved long before we arrived,” said the  event planner.

This weekend’s celebration comes just months after Wambui announced her engagement in February 2026. At the time, the actress shared a creative social media reel documenting her journey to the coast, where her partner surprised her with a proposal.

“Well, technically, I didn’t know when it was going to happen,” she shared at the time. “So from when I started recording, I recorded 2 different versions every week, 1 version (this one) in case the weeks are few, and a different version in case the weeks are many.“

She admitted to being completely caught off guard by the proposal, adding, “Let me tell you, I had no idea in the world that I would be going to Coast as a girlfriend and coming back as a fiancée. Ah! My man really did a big one on this and I’m so overwhelmed with love and gratitude. Nilipatikana!”
