Diamond Platnumz Shares First Glimpse of Daughter Sandrah Naseeb

Renowned Tanzanian music artist Diamond Platnumz has formally introduced his newborn daughter, Sandrah, to the world in a social media announcement marking her 40-day milestone.

In a touching post, the artist shared a message of love for his newborn, writing: “Hello, little Sandrah. You are already so loved SJ🩷…Happy 40 Days Mama #SJs40 @sandrahnaseeb.”

The announcement revealed that the baby’s name, Sandra, was chosen in honour of her grandmother, Mama Dangote. The family has affectionately nicknamed her “SJ,” which stands for “Sandrah Junior.”

The 40-day milestone is a long-standing tradition observed in parts of East Africa, including among some Swahili and Muslim communities, where the first weeks after childbirth are set aside for the mother’s recovery and care of the newborn. The celebration marks the end of that period and brings family and friends together to welcome the baby into wider social life.
