FROM BROKE TO SH7.3 MILLION RICHER IN FIVE MONTHS FITNESS COACH JANE MUKAMI SHARES HER STORY

Many people can go from rags to riches in the blink of an eye by winning the lottery, inheriting money or other means, but that was not the case for fitness guru Jane Mukami.

In 2018 she made a bad financial decision that left her broke for two months, “In 2018 I made 2 bad financial decisions that left me broke 2 months after quitting my corporate job to focus on my building my online weight loss business. I had Sh50,000 ($500) to my name and had 2 choices.

Jane decided to turn her passion for fitness to helping women lose weight, “While trying to figure it out, a few things became clear. I was great at helping women lose weight, but I needed customers. I wanted an online business – not going out passing out business cards, flyers. I could no longer do it on my own -Taking online courses, watching videos, webinars. I was missing something. I needed someone to hold my hand, show me the ropes and keep me accountable!”

Mukami took a loan to pay for a business coach, “A few days later, I came across a business coach. Thee business coach! I knew without a doubt that he would help me! The problem it was going to cost Sh1.2 million ($12,000!)

I got off the phone crying and let out a long, loud desperate wail! Why hadn’t I met him 2 months earlier before I lost all my money?

I needed help! I walked into a bank, took out loan, paid him, and committed myself to learn and absorb everything! I showed up and gave 200%! By week 6, and as I was applying what I was learning, money began to trickle in and 5 months later, my online business had generated Sh7.3 million ($73,000) and my clients were getting amazing results!”

She encourages people going through hard times to take action and change their current situation, “I learned two things. An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great.
