PODCASTER CHAXY DISCLOSES IT TOOK HIM 20 YEARS TO COME TO TERMS WITH PARENTS’ DEATH
Mics Cheque podcast member Chaxy, has shared that it took him two decades to fully accept the loss of his parents.
Speaking in an interview, he reflected on the long and painful process of coming to terms with their absence. “For my parents, it took me so many years to even finally accept that they actually passed on,” Chaxy shared. “I remember especially in primary and high school, I don’t think I came to terms with the fact that they weren’t there. But then I just understood that they were never going to come back.”

Chaxy recounted the emotional struggles he faced growing up without his parents, particularly during high school visiting days. “Visiting days used to be just weird days because I knew no one was coming. I didn’t know how to explain it. Even when it came up in conversations, I’d always divert. I never really wanted to speak about it.”
It wasn’t until after high school that he began to openly acknowledge his loss. “I can say I comfortably, even publicly, started admitting that I didn’t have parents much later. For me, it took such a long time, almost 20 years.”
