Pastor Victor Kanyari has addressed recent discussions regarding the custody and welfare of his children following the passing of his ex-wife, the late gospel singer Betty Bayo.

He stated his commitment to his children, dismissing claims from individuals seeking to take them away. “People are coming out claiming they will take care of my kids because their mother is not there,” he said. “I will not leave my kids; all my hard work is because of them.”

The pastor also took a moment to praise the co-parenting relationship he shared with the late musician. He acknowledged her role in making the process seamless, stating, “Betty Bayo made co-parenting easy. She used to call and allow me to see the kids whenever they were sick, and I used to respect the boundaries because I knew she was not my wife.”

Pastor Kanyari also addressed Betty’s husband, Hiram Gitau popularly known as Tash. He clarified that Gitau is not being excluded from the children’s lives. “Tash is welcome to visit my children after I have taken them,” Kanyari stated. “He should be respected; he had lived with my kids and ex-wife.”
