KCSE RESULTS: 270,000 STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR UNIVERSITY ADMISSION
Ahead of today’s nationwide release of secondary school examination results, President William Ruto was presented with a detailed preview of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) outcomes during a briefing in Uasin Gishu County.
The briefing held at Eldoret State Lodge, provided the Head of State with key statistics and national performance trends. This year’s examinations were taken by 993,000 students, half of whom were female. 270,000 of those candidates earned a mean grade of C+ or higher, thereby meeting the eligibility threshold for university admission.
The KCSE tests were administered between October 21 and November 14, 2025. Today’s official release will enable students across the country to access their individual results via the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) online portal, SMS platforms, or through their respective schools.
Immediately following the publication of results, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will begin the process of assigning qualified candidates to degree programs, diploma courses, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
