LINUS KAIKAI MOURNS MP JOHANA NG’ENO AS INVESTIGATION INTO NANDI CRASH BEGINS

Media personality Linus Kaikai has joined the nation in mourning thepassing of Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno, describing him as “a brave man and a conviction politician” following the tragic helicopter crash in Nandi County that claimed six lives.

Kaikai took to social media to share his grief over the loss of his close friend. “I lost a friend and a brother. He was a brave man and a conviction politician. A self-made leader and champion of causes he believed in. That was rudely sudden. RIP my friend,Kaikai wrote.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir has confirmed that a preliminary report into the crash is expected within 30 days, as investigators work to establish what caused the helicopter to suddenly disappear from radar before crashing in Nandi County.

Speaking Sunday at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) while leading government officials and leaders to receive the bodies of the six victims, Chirchir assured the nation that a thorough investigation is underway.

He confirmed that the Aircraft Accident Investigations Department (AAID) under the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development has been at the crash site since Saturday.

The investigation team is working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crash, which claimed the life of the outspoken MP alongside five others.
