BBC Africa Eye documentaries  has been honoured with two prestigious awards from the Royal Television Society (RTS), recognising excellence in journalism and storytelling.

The award-winning films Blood Parliament and Death in Dubai: DubaiPortaPotty received top honours at the recent RTS Awards ceremony, cementing their place as standout examples of investigative documentary filmmaking.

Blood Parliament won Best On-Demand Journalism The jury praised the documentary for its exceptional production quality, stating that it “took our breath away… with technical sophistication in graphics and sound.” The film offers a gripping exploration of power and politics, brought to life through masterful storytelling and high-end visual execution.
