‘AVOID DISTRACTIONS’ OCTOPIZZO DEFENDS THE NIKO KADI MOVEMENT

Rapper Octopizzo has released a statement calling on all Kenyans, especially the youth, to take the Niko Kadi voter registration drive seriously.

He says the future of the country depends on the people’s participation. Octopizzo reminded his fans that change does not just happen. He pointed to the end of the Daniel arap Moi era as an example. That change came because people came together to vote and demand better

Leaders like Raila Amolo Odinga and many others helped lead that movement, with slogans like “yote yawezekana bila Moi” showing that unity could make the impossible possible.

He also addressed a common comment heard in political talks, “at mkichukua kura bado atashinda” (even if you take your voter card, he will still win). He disagreed with that idea. “History shows that leadership transitions are shaped by the collective will of the people,” he said. “The ballot is powerful. Every vote counts.”

He said that young people make up about 76 percent of Kenya’s population. Because of this, youth participation is not just important, it is what decides the outcome.

Register, stay informed, and stay involved in shaping the future,” he urged. “The era of apathy is behind us. A new future is being built from the ground up local, aware, and driven by the people.”

Octopizzo said he is encouraged to see so many young people coming forward to register and take ownership of what comes next. He called this the beginning of real change. He also warned against distractions. He said there are people trying to provoke and mislead the public, but it is important to stay focused on the goal.

He made it clear that supporting the #NikoKadi initiative does not mean supporting any one politician or political group. Instead, it is about making sure more people take part. “The broader the participation, the stronger the impact,” he said.
