‘Stop Praying for Cheating Partner’ Akothee Shares Bold Advice

Musician Akothee is encouraging Kenyan to think differently about cheating in relationships

In a recent post, she advised against spending time praying for a cheating partner to stop cheating. Instead, she said people should pray for wisdom to understand what is really going on.

Akothee stated that cheating is often one of the symptoms of a mental disorder or a sign that a person is dealing with serious underlying issues. She explained that cheating is frequently caused by deeper problems such as rejection, where a person feels unwanted or unloved, inadequacy, where they feel they are not good enough, and the need for validation, where they always need attention and approval from others.

She said understanding these issues does not mean excusing bad behaviour but rather helps people see the situation clearly and make better decisions for themselves. She urged people to pray for wisdom to see the truth, adding that wisdom will help them know when to stay, when to help, and when to walk away because you cannot fix what you do not understand.
