TEKASHI 6IX9INE CAMP DENIES PAYING KENYAN PRODUCER MAGIX ENGA

By  |

Kenyan music producer Magix Enga took down American hip hop star Tekashi 6ix9ine’s music video for Gooba from YouTube for copyright infringement.

Tekashi’s team filed a counter claim and hours later the music video was back streaming on YouTube.

The producer bragged on social media, “So YouTube had to take that song down and because I don’t want to fight, I decided to put that song back on YouTube after receiving some cash,” he wrote.

A rep for 6ix9ine released a statement to XXL on Monday denying claims that producer Magix Enga was paid Sh90,000 ($900) after the rapper’s Gooba music video was removed from YouTube due to copyright claims.

We investigated this claim and found that it was fraudulent. No monetary settlement was offered by anyone in our camp.” Read the statement.
