WHO IS CRIS NJOKI’S FIANCÉ? 10 FACTS TO KNOW ABOUT GUILLAUME DURAND

Guillaume Serge Pierre was born in Paris on the 29th of December 1982, the late Paul Durand and Martine Durand. He was an only child. He spent his early years with both his parents and grandparents. He was good in school and loved sports, his favourite being football. His team was Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and he attended all football matches whenever PSG played in Paris. He also loved golf, the gentleman’s game.

Guillaume’s early education was in Paris but at the age of 19, he made the big leap to pursue his higher education in the US. His first stop was Honolulu where he stayed for almost two years before moving to New Jersey for his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business. He would immediately embark on his MBA at the same institution where he graduated in 2005.

A hotelier par excellence, Guillaume worked in different cities around the world. He started out in Brussels, then Livingston Livingstone in Zambia. Before moving to Lusaka, Guillaume was an adventurous gentleman, and in 2016 he moved to Nairobi with a French hotel group Accor. He was the sales and marketing manager for six years. In 2022, Guillaume was named as the regional director for sales and marketing in Africa, or the Westmont Hotel Group, a position held until his demise. 

Guillaume has three children with his ex-wife Kareen Durand, sons Olivier and Arnaud and a daughter Zuri. He engaged girlfriend Cris Njoki, weeks before his passing on July 14 2023.
