UGANDAN MUSICIAN WEASEL HOSPITALISED AFTER HIT-AND-RUN BY WIFE SANDRA TETA

Ugandan entertainment circles were shaken when celebrated musician Douglas Mayanja, better known as Weasel, was hospitalised following a reported incident involving Rwandan socialite Sandra Teta.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police, the altercation occurred at Shan’s Bar in Munyonyo after what witnesses describe as a heated exchange between the two. Police reports indicate that Teta allegedly ran over Mayanja with her vehicle registration UBH 148Y before fleeing the scene. The vehicle has since been impounded at Kabalagala Police Station as investigations continue.

The Radio & Weasel star was initially rushed to Mukwaya Hospital before being transferred to Nsambya Hospital, where he remains under medical care. Authorities confirm his injuries are being treated, though his current condition has not been disclosed.

Teta is currently detained at Kabalagala Police Station as detectives piece together the events leading to the incident. Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire stated that the investigation is ongoing, with charges pending based on findings. Weasel, the younger brother of Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone, rose to fame as part of the iconic duo Radio & Weasel. The group’s legacy was tragically cut short after the 2018 death of Mowzey Radio following a bar fight.
