DENNIS ITUMBI ON WHY HE’S SKEPTICAL OF MARRIAGE
Dennis Itumbi, the Head of Creative Economy and Special Projects in the Office of the President, has shared his reservations about marriage.
In a candid interview with content creator Shiku Gitau, Itumbi revealed that he has never experienced heartbreak, “I’m still thinking about the institution of marriage, I have my issues about the institution and I read many books,” Itumbi stated. “I’m at a level where I am deciding whether marriage is necessary for me. I don’t see one compelling reason why marriage is a compulsory issue.”
The influential communication strategist challenged conventional reasons for marrying, arguing that the desires for children and companionship can be fulfilled outside of a marital union. “If the issue of marriage is children, I can get them without being married, I also can get companionship without marriage,” he explained. “I don’t want to waste anyone’s time.”
Despite his current declaration, Itumbi remains hopeful about having a life partner, “When the time to make that decision of marriage comes, I will make it.”
