Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has refuted claims of a planned East African tour in May 2026, warning fans and promoters that any advertisements or promotions suggesting otherwise are completely unauthorised and potentially fraudulent.

In a statement released online, the artist said neither he nor his team is involved in organising any such tour. “It has come to my attention that a post is circulating claiming that I will be embarking on an East African tour in May 2026,” said Vybz Kartel.

Let me be absolutely clear: neither my management nor I have any knowledge of, or involvement in, any such tour. No East African shows have been announced or confirmed by my team.”

The statement serves as a warning to the public, particularly in East Africa, where unauthorised individuals and platforms may be attempting to capitalise on the artist’s name for financial gain.

The musician said No East African tour has been scheduled for May 2026 or any other date. Any person or entity advertising such shows is acting without authorisation and misleading the public.

Fans, promoters, and venues are advised not to engage with or send money to anyone making these claims, as they may be scams. All official announcements will come exclusively through Vybz Kartel’s verified platforms and authorised representatives.

The artist also reiterated the identities of the only individuals authorised to speak or act on his behalf: his manager Linton T.J. White and attorney Jason Mitchell.

Vybz Kartel further warned that legal action will be taken against anyone falsely using his name to promote unauthorised events. “Anyone falsely using my name to promote unauthorized events will be dealt with accordingly,” he stated.
