KERRY MARTIN THREATENS TO SUE OVER CHILD NEGLECT, SH500K HOSPITAL BILL ALLEGATIONS

Popular radio host Kerry Martin has broken his silence regarding viral claims that he abandoned a woman and their premature baby, dismissing the allegations as false and revealing that his legal team is now handling the matter.

The allegations, made by a woman identified as Faith Wanjiku, claimed that she gave birth to a baby at 27 weeks gestation, requiring the newborn to be placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Wanjiku further alleged that the medical bills exceeded KSh 500,000 and that Martin abandoned both her and the child.

In response, Martin is denying the claims and sharing alleged private messages online. According to screenshots posted by the radio host, the woman is seen stating that she chose to keep the pregnancy and would take full responsibility without involving him.

In a written statement dated April 23, 2026, Martin addressed the controversy directly, “Over the past few days, I have become aware of certain videos and statements circulating online about me. It has been deeply upsetting to see my name and image misrepresented, especially by someone I once considered a close platonic friend.”

“I want to be absolutely clear: the claims being made about me are not accurate and have been taken out of context. My legal team is in contact with the individual responsible, and I am trusting that this matter will be resolved accordingly.“

Martin confirmed that he will not be participating in any further public back-and-forth on the matter, “At this time, I will not be engaging in any further back-and-forth online. I kindly request that everyone refrain from sharing unverified information and allow this situation to be handled through proper channels.” The radio host’s legal team has not yet issued a separate statement.
