Charlene Ruto Reveals Why She Said Yes to Isaya Yunge

Charlene Ruto, daughter of President William Ruto, has for the first time publicly revealed the personal reasons behind her engagement to Isaya Yunge.

In an interview, Charlene spoke openly about her relationship with Yunge, explaining that her “yes” was not based on public perception or external factors, but on the character and spiritual foundation of the man she chose to spend her life with.

“I said yes to him because of the person that he is inside,” Charlene shared. “When I met him, I could definitely tell this is a man who loves God and is after God’s heart. For me, that’s a big thing that I wanted in a person I spend the rest of my life with.”

Charlene described Yunge as exceptionally intelligent, smart, and driven by purpose qualities she says were non-negotiable in a life partner. “It’s very important to be with a person who has a purpose,” she added. “I have a purpose and I know what I’m doing and have been doing for a while. If you’re not coming to add to it, then why are we together?”

She described Yunge as someone who complements her vision and adds value to her journey. “That’s what made me be with Isaya,” she said. “And I really believe he is the one God has kept for me.”
